At House of Henderson we offer an extensive range of tartans to choose from across 8 alternative outfit styles including our own exclusive ‘Spirit’ range. Specialising in wedding hire and formal events, this showcases a wide range of both modern and traditional styles including outfits for children. All of our kilt hire packages are held in store allowing us to accommodate last minute bookings, with a discount of 10% on party bookings of 6 outfits or more. Please scroll down to view our full range of packages and kilt hire FAQs.

  • Group discounts

    We welcome group bookings and wedding parties of all sizes. For group bookings of 6 outfits or more, you will recive a 10% discount on each hire.

  • Appointments & fittings

    Although not compulsory we would recommend making an appointment for your kilt hire fitting, perticularly on Saturdays and when visiting as part of a larger group. This can be done over the phone or via the appointments page on our website.

  • ADVANCED BOOKINGS & DEPOSITS

    We are able to accommodate last minute (and in quieter periods same day) bookings for individul hires, yet would recommend booking further in advance to ensure wider choice and availability. For group bookings, perticularly wedding parties in the same outfit combination, we would recommend leaving a period of at least 3-4 months to guarantee availability.

    We require a deposit of £50 on adults hires and £30 on children’s at the time of booking. Any remaining balance can be paid upon collection of your outfit.

  • COLLECTIONS & RETURNS

    Our standard ‘weekend hire’ rates apply to those being collected on either a Thursday or Friday through to Monday return. An additional charge of £10 applies for Wednesday collections. If you require the outfit for longer or your function is midweek, please contact us to provide a quote for the total cost of your hire.

  • TARTAN HANDFASTING SERVICE

    If you’re ‘tying the knot’ our tartan handfastings (or hand ties) can be made to order in a number of our hire tartans or should you prefer, a family clan tartan of your choice. Please ask a member of our team for more details (from £25).

  • Ex-Hire Sale

    Please call in to our store or email for further information on our current ex-hire offering including kilts, jackets, sporrans and ghillie brogues.
    All ex-hire items are sold on a non returnable basis.
